I Ranked All Of Blair Waldorf’s Outfits So You Don’t Have To – Season 1 Edition

I’ve watched Gossip Girl a lot. I’m not ashamed to admit it. I’m going to watch the hell out of the new series as an absolute guilty pleasure.

There are many things to love about the soapy series, from its fancy soirees to the absolute balls-to-the-wall bonkers plot-lines (Bart Bass coming back from the dead, anyone?). The best thing about Gossip Girl is the fashion, however, and no character is more fashionable than Blair Waldorf, the Queen of the Upper East Side who we all loved to hate at first and then we came to love.

Blair’s style in season one can be described in one word: preppy. Blue, red and white makes up the bulk of her wardrobe, along with ballet flats, gorgeous coats and of course her iconic headbands. But with so many amazing looks, which ones are the best?

Should You Watch Clannad?

I love watching slice-of-life anime for the same reason I love watching sit-coms I’ve seen a thousand times before – it’s a comfort, like a warm blanket in winter, or some chicken soup when you’re not feeling very well.

Clannad, then, is a big snuggly blanket and a giant bowl of soup and twenty other soothing things all put together. It’s sweet to the point of being sickly sometimes, but that’s alright – in fact, that’s one of the reasons I love it so much.

It’s got a great cast (Amy Adams, Gary Oldman, Julianne Moore… the list goes on!) and a great premise (someone trapped in their house witnesses something strange going on across the street).

Sure, I realised from nothing more than the Netflix description that this was essentially just Rear Window: 2021 Edition (or, even just a rip-off of Rear Window’s modern brother, Disturbia), but I was willing to put up with that. I like this kind of story enough to see it done multiple times over, and I figured anything helmed by Amy Adams is a pretty sure bet.

Unfortunately, I didn’t like The Woman in the Window nearly as much as I thought I would.

When searching for the best comedy films of the 2010s, they are not always easy to find. Often the genre devolves into fart jokes, sex jokes and slapstick, trading all intelligence in the humour for cheap laughs. The films on this list are different, however. They are all full of smart, snappy jokes that will actually make you laugh out loudand keep laughing, too.

Here are five of the best best comedy films of the 2010s that you definitely need to see.

Should You Watch The Abandoned?

When I was a teenager me and my best friend at the time used to go to Blockbuster Video (that’s how long ago this was) and rent several horror movies to watch on a Friday night every couple of weekends. I remember watching The Abandoned for the first time around ten years ago on one such occasion, and being thoroughly terrified by it.
