Gossip Girl is a show praised for its fashion. Unfortunately, sometimes the wardrobe department just doesn’t get it right. These terrible looks from season one of the show are evidence of that. These are the worst outfits of Gossip Girl‘s season one.

Blair’s Worst Outfits – Season One
It pains me to write bad things about Blair’s outfits because she’s usually such a pinnacle of fashion, but WHAT IS THIS? Why are there so many different colours and textures? Why has she dressed like she had nothing else to wear so just had to go with whatever clothes she had left?
This is just boring, and also red and green should never be seen in this combination. I know it was 2007 so every single person on earth owned red skinny jeans, but I’m sorry Blair, you’re not Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy so you can’t pull this look off.

Serena’s Worst Outfits – Season One
It feels kind of cheap to put this one here because it’s technically a sports uniform and not really an outfit, but look, it’s Gossip Girl, so Serena could have made more of an effort with this. Blair certainly did.
It’s really the boots that kill this outfit for me. I mean, I’m not a super huge fan of the little vest either, but I can understand it in it’s 2007 context and give it a pass. Hell, I even had a vest pretty much just like this one. I got it from Jay Jay’s which is basically the Australian equivalent of Hot Topic. I have no regrets at all about it.
This outfit just looks cheap, and that’s a problem for Gossip Girl – a show that is all about the luxe life.
Jenny’s Worst Outfits – Season One
You’ve gotta accessorize more, girl!
You’ve gotta tone down the patterns, girl!
You’ve gotta wear something that isn’t … this, girl!
Vanessa’s Worst Outfits – Season One
The one time in the whole season she gets to wear a fancy dress to a fancy event and it is THIS. Vanessa, they really did you wrong here.
I think I said it on the original post, but I do like this scarf. I don’t like anything else, though.
I honestly would have rated this outfit higher if it didn’t have that awful hoodie underneath. How many layers do you need, Vanessa? Is it snowing outside?
